Gün Han Başik was born in İstanbul (1955).

 

He has completed his middle and high school education at FMV Işık Lycee. He received his Bachelor of Laws Degree
(LL.B.) at the Law Faculty of Istanbul University and his Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) at the Institute
of Social Sciences of Istanbul University. He has worked at the İstanbul Turkey Branch offices of ABN Bank (Algemene
Bank Nederland) in the Department of Foreign Affairs (1979-80). He has completed his internship and has been admitted
to Istanbul Bar Association (1983). (Istanbul Bar Association Reg. No. :12849 - Union of Turkish Bar Associations Reg.
No: 15899)

 

As a lawyer, he has worked at A.K Alparslan Law Firm (1982-1983) and at Erkan Yurdagül Law Firm (1983-1985). From 1985, he has worked as a freelance lawyer. He has given Business Law lectures at the Department of Electronics Engineering in english, Faculty of Engineering, Istanbul University (1992-1999). He has given Business Law, Introduction
to Law and Corporate Law lectures at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Işık University (1999-2006).
From 1998, he has worked with Baker Tilly Güreli Consultants as Managing Partner (Legal). Since 2008, he is the General Manager of Kadir Has Foundation.

 

He is married and has two children.
