Born in Istanbul in 1954, Can Has graduated from Nişantaşı Işık High School in 1972. In 1973, he spent eight months in Frieburg, Germany, learning German at the Goethe Institute, and he continued on to graduate from Johannes Kepler University in Lindze on the 14th of January, 1981.

 

In 1982, Can Has was appointed to the position of assistant general manager at the Has Automotive Sales and Manufacturing Corporation, going on to become a member of the board of directors at what is today known as the Mercedes Benz Türk Corporation from 1983 to 1986, as well as at the Karsan (Peugeot) and Karsan Marketing Corporation from 1984 to 1991. Currently, he is president of the board of directors at the Has Automotive Sales and Manufacturing Corporation.

 

As of July 1st, 2011, Can Has has been serving as the chair of the board of trustees at Kadir Has University and as deputy chair of the board of trustees at the Kadir Has Foundation.

 

Can Has speaks German and English, is married, and is the father of three children.
